AdSense Reinstatement Guide

Banned From AdSense Unfairly?

AdSense LogoProbably the most popular piece on this blog right now is the guide which I wrote dealing with AdSense Reinstatement. With the increasing number of posts here, many discussing other aspects of the AdSense program, it is getting more and more difficult for people to search for and successfully find the guide. That prompted me to promote it to the navigation of the site, much like the Online Business Tutorial.

General Guideline for AdSense Reinstatement
This is a general guide which starts with an introduction for why I have some knowledge on the subject. What follows is a list of easy to follow guidelines which I believe will help anyone unfairly banned from the AdSense program, get their account back. Keep in mind this guide is for those that did not violate the TOS

Examples of Correspondence Using the Above Methods for Reinstatement
This is a follow up to the very popular Guide to AdSense Reinstatement for those that have been banned mistakenly. These are the actual emails sent to Google and led up to reinstatement. They are meant as an instructional guide only and not to be cut and paste.

This should be required reading for everyone who starts a forum thread about how they were mistakenly labeled by Google as a thief …. well done Jason!

Great article jason, I remember when I was mistakely banned by Google, but after investigation My account was reinstated.

This is really a good piece of information for adsense banned publishers. I see lot of new posts on different forums (banned by Google Adsense).
It will be really difficult for one to reinstate who has violated the TOS.

I was innocent and banned and tried everything under the sun to get them to investigate. All has failed. I couldn’t even get them to reply to my emails. The only response I get to my appeals is the robot response saying I’m out of luck.

To make matters worse, a few weeks later they terminated a relative’s account because they had similar contact and company information. They didn’t even try to claim my relative had invalid clicks. They just closed his account and stole all his earnings. When he appealed it, they sent him the same robot response about invalid clicks, which didn’t even pertain to him, and ignored all his emails.

All of this is based on nonsense. Neither of us ever broke their terms of service or clicked our own ads or anything like that. We even have our logs to prove where everyone came from, but they don’t care.

It’s fraud and breach of contract. Their own agreement says that upon termination by either party, final earnings will be paid within 90 days. Instead, they suggest that all earnings were given away to advertisers on both of our accounts. Those were 100% valid earnings. We would never rip off advertisers, as we are advertisers ourselves. Click fraud doesn’t hurt Google, it hurts advertisers. Only damage to Google is their reputation. They deserve that much, since they are allowing the click fraud and profiting from it right along with the scammers.
    :(

This is definitely one of those “being forewarned” things. I am trying to build Adsense sites to develop a revenue stream therewith. To that end, I obviously don’t want to violate Google’s TOS requirements. I recently found out that putting Adsense ads on link pages was actually against their TOS. And, that one hundred or more links with Adsense on those pages is against their TOS too. Google is fast becoming the Microsoft of the next phase in the PC/Internet evolution and as such it’s good to keep them happy. This reinstantement advice was, therefore, interesting information.

    Thanks,
    GR

    hi,

thanks for the guidelines. i’ve been banned by google and i tried re-applying but until now they have not responded to my email (after 2 weeks). anyway, i have learned to accept that this is a sad fact for being banned unfairly.

[…] When I made my post that day being so disppointed, I received a comment from Marhgill giving me a link to a guide relevant to my situation. (Thanks Marhgill!) … I was able to read the Adsense Reinstatement guide on that site, and one of the advices stated there is to email Google or fill up an online appeal form, which I just did. Another step is “don’t give up”, meaning to develop another email to Google. So I was planning already of doing another mail if in case I haven’t heard anything after a couple of days. But to my surprise, last weekend I received another mail from Google Adsense informing me that my account was reinstated… Then I’ve seen the ads back again to my site, *wink* … So you see, I did only one thing… email Google.
