1988年獲中國科學院上海微系統研究所微電子學理學碩士學位。

1999年獲中南大學材料科學與工程博士學位。

2002年評聘為中南大學博士生導師。

2005年作為高級訪問學者赴英國劍橋大學開展合作研究。

2012年由中南大學認定為二級教授。
