Thanks for these posts. Not sure if this will help anyone (more so coz they look dated!), but this spells hope for many. And hope is a powerful weapon.

Dear Friend,

Hats off to you. I remember my Commision Junction Publisher Account had this same problem, but i did send them an email to keep things sorted out. But I never have any problem with Google AdSense till date. My Conversation with Network Quality Department in CJ goes around 15 days and I got my account on the 16th day of the issue. You made me remembered that. And I have learned how to write an email to top class companies reading your article. Thanks.

Regards,
Kaavitha.

Getting an adsense account banned is something I hear very often off, especially in webmaster forums, like DigitalPoint, that you mentioned. It has been my main concern until now, that I read this article. At least now I know that Google is not banning adsense accounts whenever they feel like, and there is actually hope to get reinstated. This is good information. Thank you!

but their "investigation" just confirmed that actually these were invalid clicks. I report those invalid clicks before to them but no use - my account banned.

I have a slightly different problem. I DID abuse the system...well, not me exactly. I was explaining to my step-son the different ways our site makes money (we're a gift registry for ALL occasions) and when I showed him the AdSense stuff, he later clicked on them with excess frequency, thinking he was making us money. SSsooo...when Google pulled my account, I told them the truth and that my step-son now knows not to do that. Needless to say, they were NOT impressed with my upfrontnes. Anyone have any ideas how to get it back?

Hi Jason,

I'm just curious if, once your account was reactivated, did you receive any sort of apology or official explanation from them?

Thanks for posting those letters Jason. I'm still in the process of sucking up, but no progress yet. This is day 3 that I'm down. If you could email me and let me know what email address you were corresponding with that would be great. It seems I am writeing 2 or 3 different ones and my head is spinning. :)

Have you had any further problems since this incident? If I do get my account reactivated, I'm always going to be paranoid about this sort of thing happening again.

I agree with Nocholas above. Are there any other ppc programs like AdSense that would be a healthy alternative? Something that pays similar and has dependable tracking. Something where they won't freeze your account because you're being too successful.

I've considered cutting out the middleman and contacting AdWords users to offer them the same traffic for less than they pay Google, but then we have to worry about the whole click tracking deal.

I've also considered affiliate programs where I earn based on sales or leads, but honest tracking and trust is a huge issue there as well.

I never thought in a million years that Google would stoop to stealing my earnings. In fact, thinking they were trustworthy was the main reason I signed up for their program in the first place. Had I seen all the posts about them disabling accounts and not paying people what they owe, I may have went elsewhere. :(
